The current situation of former U Kiss member Dongho has received attention.

U Kiss member Kisup uploaded pictures he took with Dongho on his Twitter on the 27th and wrote “My cute dongseng. You have been doing well and have been healthy! I was supposed to take good care of you and watch out for you and my heart hurts whenever I see you. I will take care of you in the future! I love you my dongseng, you rascal.”

Dongho had previously revealed in October that “My desires to be a celebrity has lessened and I am not suitable for life as a singer” and talked about why he left the group.

Did Dongho’s last tweet show that he wanted to leave celebrity life?

Editor’s note: I am writing a lot of notes today, ha. I think behind all the so-called glamour and fame, there is a lot of hardships in being a celebrity especially with sasaeng fans. The advancement of media is of no help. Dongho, fighting!

As it has been revealed that U-Kiss member Dongho will cease his activities in the entertainment industry, a past tweet has come under scrutiny.

He left a short message on his Twitter last March and wrote “I would like it if people did not take pictures or videos.” It seems that while he was grateful for the love of fans, he had trouble with severe interest in himself and his personal life.

His agency stated on the 16th “He felt a lack of will towards being in the industry in the beginning of this year and felt that the singer lifestyle did not match his health and body, so we followed his wishes to leave the group and to stop activities in the industry.”

Netizens wrote “I feel sad looking at his tweet”, “It looks as if it was hard for him to handle those situations”, and “I hope that he will live more comfortably.”

U-Kiss to promote without Dongho!

NHN Media revealed on the 16th that U-Kiss member Dongho had left the group and has tentatively stopped activities in the entertainment industry.

Dongho will not be present for U-Kiss’s domestic activities for their new album starting this month and will be taking a break from the industry. He was the youngest member of the group and involved in dramas and movies.

The agency explained the situation by saying “Dongho’s desire for the industry became weaker and he felt that the singer lifestyle did not suit his body and his health” and “We thought it over with his parents for a long time and decided to accept his wishes.”

They also stated “He had difficulties adjusting to the entertainment lifestyle as a member of U-Kiss and wants to live a normal life.”

This situation is rare as it is hard to see cases where a company and a idol member do not have any legal issues regarding termination of contract.

NHN media had previously allowed member AJ to participate in the group’s activities in his spare time as he entered Columbia University.

The company also revealed “Dongho’s decision is difficult for the group but they agreed to accept it” and “His absence is a burden but they will release a new album as a six member group this month.”
